24 April 2006
We (me, Roger Edwards, and Corey Mead) started the day near Kingfisher, hoping for storms to form and interact with an outflow boundary north of OKC. It turns out the outflow was a little too cool, so we wandered south to El Reno before deciding to chase the new storms forming in Caddo County. Because we got on the Caddo storm early, and our data connection was down, we didn't even know about the El Reno storm until it was too late. The Caddo storm suffered destructive interference from other storms to its immediate south, which led us to make a desperate run back toward El Reno. We got a view of the supercell before dark, but after outflow from our Caddo storm had ended its tornadic phase!
