Chase crew: me and Corey Mead This was my first chase since surgery on 20 May 2005 to repair a ruptured distal biceps tendon in my left arm. Corey offered to drive my new truck, and we were off to SW KS. The situation showed some promise in Liberal, KS when we watched the first deep convection develop to the W and NW while visiting with several other chasers. Unfortunately, as we went N of town to gain a better vantage, the storm disintegrated. A fitting end to the evening was driving through a potential police shoot out in Dodge City, KS, on the way to dinner!
