Lowered base with the intensifying storm, as viewed from near the hwy 180 and hwy 16 intersection to the N of Strawn, TX. A bridge out on an intermediate route led us to take the long way around the forward flank core, so we lost view of the updraft region and headed E then S a few minutes after this photo. Our move cost us about 30 minutes of viewing time, but saved my windshield from 2-4" hail.

By this point we've repositioned along I-20 between Strawn and Ranger as the storm moved directly at our location. I missed some of the more photogenic views of the updraft as we passed through Strawn, but I was unable to take photos since we were on the edge of the hail core and the view was out the passenger's window.

Rotating wall cloud approaching our location off the feeder on the S side of I-20. Tight wrapping rain curtains began to overtake our location a few minutes later, forcing us to drift a little to the WSW. Low-level rain curtain motion was strong, but the storm did not produce a tornado as it crossed I-20. We ended the chase about 10-15 minutes after it crossed the road, given sunset and apparent weakening of the storm.
